I still have a spare Computrainer sitting around that works with legacy Trainerroad and worked with Zwift to a point until the laptop I used with it gave up. Wheel on, so you get to burn through all those old 23mm tyres you have a in box. Obviously no one on here likes them because everyone on here is a buyer and thinks Zwifting is racing, but if you're on a budget and can find one, they do the job.
Looking to try and do a bit of indoor work through winter and might look to upgrade my fluid “dumb” trainer for something with erg mode. Not really interested in zwift fake world riding but mostly would be on wahoo systm I think. Might give RGT a try.
Any recommendations for something cheapest, not too loud, decent turbo trainer that will connect to apps without being an investment? Bonus points if often available second hand. Doesn’t need to have the most realistic “road feel”, simulate 20% climbs or withstand 1000w+ sprints, just be decent and talk to the apps.
Fact I’ve struggled to get into turbo sessions in the past means I don’t want to spend too much and commit £200+ unless I really do end up getting into it.
