How do I bathroom / kitchen / extension? etc.

Building work is always so stressful and only more so when trades are useless.
Hope you get it sorted. Then hammer them on every digital outlet possible.

Any smart ideas for how to get a functional kitchen into this room? Very limited in where full depth units will fit ‘nicely’ due to full length windows down the top wall, which 600mm units on either the left or the right wall will overlap. Bottom right also has a frosted glass divider into the living room which I am keen to keep, but provides the same issue with fitting units in.

Currently it’s got a hand build reduced depth everything kitchen in it, with a peninsula (which I hate.)

This is the best I’ve figured so far, but I don’t love it. Unsure whether to centre the units on the right hand wall, so equal gaps either end, or to leave space for the window (and a bin?) at the top.

Here ya go, here's my effort... I really like the idea of keeping those windows free and clear as they sound amazing so have lined things up accordingly.
Personally I'd go for a smaller cooker as that would reduce the size of the island.
I haven't put it here but it would also make it easy to have a wall mounted light over the table if desired.

Everything will happen in that bottom left corner, and it will get congested with people cooking, clearing, and just getting a cup of tea.

Anyone have a sample, or wall of Bauwerk Almond Blossom I could look at by any chance please?!

Thanks all for ideas. This is as is at the moment. As you can see the new plan is basically just adding a bigger oven and turning temporary furniture into proper units.. even as it is I find myself hurting for worktop space, so reluctant to cut down. Lots of stuff I look at looks great until you factor in microwave/toaster etc.

We'd like 2x oven for entertaining/family at Xmas. There is a dining room table the other side of the door, so don't have to fit dining space in there, but it's a great space to sit, so had a breakfast sized table in the plan.

It's a great space, just awkward to get the most out of.

Strewth that’s a lovely space! Current layout looks great just in needs a tweak or two!

My logic was essentially, proper cupboards where the sideboard is to make up for the missing peninsula, and breakfast table in front of the window to catch the sun, that can be pressed into use as an extra chopping surface when needed.

Part of me wants to just do new doors and worktops, and buy a nicer sideboard, but where the current cabinet runs are less than regular depth, the dishwasher, cooker etc sit proud and it bugs me.

Looking at it there the bit of worktop sticking out across the far window isn't too hideous so you could concentrate most the kitchen there.
IMO a big ago is a dream, but one best realised once you own a place that has more rooms and space than you need because they are a space hog.
Doing the dishes by the window will be nice, or washing veg if you have a dishwasher.
Hobs on the peninsula/island with a little breakfast bar on the outside.
Is that a little balcony too? Very jelly if so, that's going to be double fantastic in the summer.
Cme to think about it its a bit like a better version of my last place which had 3 big windows on one side except we had no balcony and a wall dividing the kitchen and dining space.

Any recommendations for electric heaters for a garden office? 2.5 x 3.5m, wood insulated, double glazed. Considering a Hershel infrared panel heater.

I think IR panels would be v good. Im doing electric underfloor, but I specifically want a warm floor and don’t necessarily think it’s best overall.

Please do report back if you get a hersel, i'm interested in the results for a very similar use case.

I'm also considering this, as in theory it would evenly heat a room faster, but I suspect the its probably more expensive to run long term
