Hey, I'm looking for recommendations for Paris.

I'm heading there for a couple of days at the end of the month

I've been before but it's been a loooooong time. I've done most of the touristy stuff. I'm mainly looking for unusual things to do, places to eat, drink

I'm staying in the 10th arrondissement if that is of any help

Stayed in the 10th in March 2020 for 2 days before all this shit kicked off.

Le Cristal-Bar for people watching and the owner gives you free beer and rillettes if you go back a couple of day in a row

Rue du Faubourg Saint Denis for bars and food and mischief, felt like Soho

Paname Brewing Company and Bar Ourcq on the canal

We stayed in the 10th in 2019 iirc

Du pain et des idees is a great bakery.

We liked Shinjuku Pigalle, I think they call it homely japanese cuisine.

Le cambodge was nice too, not sure if it holds up if you’re big on Cambodian food though.

We went to Claude Colliot for the vegetarian menu and it didn’t disappoint.

KB café was my favourite coffee shop

The Messy Ness Chic website has a lot of good recommendations.
Unfortunately the site has become a lot more bloated than when I previously used it so you have to trawl through a lot of context to find the relevent bits.

Doing a family eurostar trip later this month, want to buy some wine to fill the bag on the way back, any interesting wine sellers/off licences in and around la marais/bastille, would be appreciated.

Heard good things about Caves Bossetti on Rue des Archives and will be there on Monday, so will let you know if those things check out.

Can confirm it's a good one. Plenty of choice from the reasonably priced to the super-expensive. Good for Chartreuse too, if you like that sort of thing.

Cool that branch is round the corner from our hotel, so will pop in..

There's a Nicolas right across the road if you want to pick up some cheaper plonk. And some properly Chi-Chi/eyewateringly expensive boutiques along that road too. Caves Bossetti neatly sits between those two extremes.

Also, if anyone is looking for a bar that serves excellent French (as well as lots of other nations') beer, I can highly recommend La Fine Mousse. It's been there 10 years and they clearly know what they're doing. Spendy, especially with the current exchange rate, but everything I had on tap was top notch. Didn't even get near the extensive bottle list, which had some belters on it and loads of stuff I'd have tried out given a longer stay. Will definitely be back there again.
