I was at Lee Valley in 2016 when he won the IP at the Worlds. His ride in qualifying was mental, looked like he was just doing a warm up for the first 2.5 kms, then he accelerated and qualified fastest. I'd never seen anything like it, it was insane.

There was also a good battle for bronze between two Brits, AT prevailed. Ganna looks soooo young on the pic below!

Shaved off his beard. His prep is so meticulous there must be a reason.
Would it have been taken into consideration for his hour? A beard could provide a boundary layer?
