  • This sounds exceptionally good value if it covers theft when not at home. Stopped laka when it started to top £45 a month, more an alarm that bike theft in Glasgow is through the roof than that laka are profiting hugely.

  • Yes, that's why I posted it as it's way better than the any standalone I found.

    When we got the bike I looked into standalone insurance and it was the sort of level you mention. Laka was the lowest, but it didn't make sense to pay that much. But I had to renew our home insurance and just put it on the off chance.

    Actually the Laka insurance would have been more expensive just for the bike than my entire buildings + contents for a four bedroom house! Not a criticism of Laka as I'm sure they've worked out their risk, more an observation on how the insurance industry works.
