  • Give it a few years dude. Triples will be back. Or at least doubles.
So easy to set up. So little problems, so many gears.

    Love my XT 44/32

  • So easy to set up.

That’s the thing, only recently I was able to get a triple to work with the trims and zero chain rub (Sora triple for example), I always expected a little chain rub or two but zero on the modern triple.

Plus, with 11+ speed, there’s very little need for it nowadays when it offer a big range without a massive gap between each sprocket, having said that, would be great to have an almost straight block with a triple 11 speed drivetrain.

  • Can you really cross the chain completely without any chain rub ? (Big ring, small cog and vice versa ?)

I really enjoy my da 77000 triple on my commuter bike but i think it's impossible for me to set up without chain rub in the extreme positions. And after every 6 month on commuting i need to play a little bit with the derrailleurs settings.

It's a second hand groupset and i use it every day since almost three years. I think the groupset start to be a little bit tired and i am thinking about getting a new transmission. I like my 1x11 on my mtb but for a "road" bike i was more tempted by a 2x with a compact crankset. Have you any recommandation ? I live in the alps so some climbs are quite steeps.
