Do it! Did you go with the hob in the kitchen island in the end? I hope so...

We haven’t actually made a final decision on that but no - the hob will be on the same wall as the sink. Neither on the island. It will be inset so that it’s flush which seems a weirdly uncommon thing to do.

I'm happy as long as you don't put a sink in the island. Feels a bit wrong to me having it on display. There's a reason restaurants with open kitchens hide the washing up area.
