What is a good option for pitched roof skylights that are double glazed and unusual sizes?
They don't need to open, one option is to get a joiner to make them and a roofer to fit. But there's no reason not to go with something aluminium. What brands do people recommend?

Got my own plumber in to do bulk of finishing off. Week 5 ends today and no toilet still so least that'll be done. Not ideal shower tray fitting, he sees thid fairly often

Got my plans back for my loft work and I’m now reminded why some people are cheap and some expensive.

Told the builder I was 6ft5 and to be conservative

Just get a stool, what you moaning about. /S
Does the (barely) horizontal section screw in? Is it chromed copper? Two 45 bends to get it higher?
Nevermind, just read that they are usually brass. -

Ah the every day struggle of a tall person - I feel your pain!
You could probably trim an inch or two off that downpipe & get it re-threaded for the shower head to go back on without too much difficulty.
Your posts are making me want to watch my builders every day to make sure they don't do anything similar!

This shit is why I WFH with builders. Not to watch them but to be able to ask that quick question rather than wonder and pick something at random.
Height does look pretty conservative though....

Hmmm I’m sure there used to be a floor here somewhere…

Do we just sack off putting the floor back and have a double height kitchen?!
-
• #4489
Shit! Is there not a standard height at which you put the controls vs the tray to avoid this? Having our bathroom done at the moment with a similar type shower and I think I told the builder to install controls at 120cm from the tray. We're only 174cm max in the household but have tall friends

You could put an open mezzanine? Perfect place for a study.

Yes do this!!!
What was the space before? Kitchen storage? -

Can't be much higher or the water would evaporate before reaching a normal sized person.

Guys it’s the upstairs bathroom - unfortunately unlikely to be able to do without

Mezzanine bathroom over the kitchen. Someone has to do it first.

Surely a glass floor is the perfect compromise

Genuine lol at the horror of that thought.
Thanks that's a relief
