I think context is needed with this result. By elections after the sudden death of a popular mayor tend to be more emotional than others. It's a dismal result in that context.

It doesn't make much sense. The motorist says he didn't move forward and cycling mikey jumped on his SUV, but then the motorist drove with him down the road on the bonnet. Isn't it dangerous driving whether cycling mikey jumped on his car or not?

I think it's a case of the jury going beyond their remit (did the things alleged, happen) and taking on the responsibility of making a judgement based on whether they thought that running over Cycling Mikey was warranted (clearly yes).

Surely there's helmet cam footage of what happened? How can "he jumped" vs "he drove into me" even be argued?

Nah, rounds are failing if people don't go over. Parcel volumes may be down on Covid years but there is plenty of work at my depot, might not be the case in the little rural depots though. Its mainly a scare tactic to stop the strikes I reckon, its hurting the shareholders.

I too always send by RM (not because I work there) as most posties actually give a shit if your stuff gets there safe and not left in the rain or slung up against your front door for anyone to nick.
