We’re renting a place with an Indesit washing machine, which I just noticed is a dryer too. But it doesn’t have a hose going outside or anything. How work? It seems too cheap and old to be some kind of heat pump / exchanger…
Probably just a condenser - i.e. it uses a conventional electrical element* as a heat source, but collects the water in a tank like a heat pump dryer does.
*I'm slightly assuming condenser dryers have an element here, I don't actually know for sure, never had one.
