Well didn't think I would say this but am putting the GTV up for sale.
My commutes has changed again and will now be doing 70 mile daily and wifey's also doing more miles to work so she needs the Giulietta so I have bought another 595 Abarth.
So if anyone wants an ultra low mileage properly sorted Twin spark GTV , with a 'GTV' number plate, then let me know before it gets advertised elsewhere.
The respected Italian specialist that looks after it say it's not only the best one they look after but the best they have seen for ages.
I just cant justify keeping.
Sad day for me , I've had 4 years and enjoyed every minute. -

Crumbs. That’s some seat time. More or less CO2 than your average flight do you reckon?
Fitting mega powerful massive cars with ~70L tanks is daft. A big power diesel would probably still be a very good thing for that type of work.

Dipped bulb went on the Dad Max so decided to get a whole new set and grabbed one of those Auto Glym restoration kits while I was at it.
Edit: photos posted in reverse order, because of course...

Can it roof rack?

Oh, far more, I'd imagine, particularly as I had three bikes on the roof for both legs of the journey.

We are now the owners of a 2020 Kia Niro phev. I should probably learn to drive now.

Tried that last Saturday with our 2 year old mini countryman.
Same car now £100 a month more, was offered a cheaper mini at the same price we are paying at the moment.

Congrats.
The whole learning to drive process is overblown here for some reason.
Consider some of the fuckwits you've encountered while cycling. They all passed at some point.
Piece of piss really.

Does the kit come with a finish UV coating?
Also, needs coilovers, sikkk rimz and a turbo.
-
• #72636
No, just a series of grits finishing with a foam pad and compound. I did think about that so will look for some separately. Still, happy with the outcome for half an hour's fiddling.
-
• #72637
Yeah, when you sand off the top coat you remove the remaining UV protection. They will yellow quickly without any protection and you'll be back to square one.
-
• #72638
I did this and the kit came with a finishing spray I think. Good job on yours!
-
• #72639
Cheers, no spray, just the auto Glym compound. Which may have some protection in it but ordered some clear coat anyway.

I wouldn’t worry. Takes a bit of time for them to degrade again and the kits are cheap.
As with everything on lfgss - we go to the Nth degree 😀 -

This is what I used. Cheaper as I am cheap!😀 It has a sealant.

I checked out some reviews and that kit came out top so I used it too. Thought it worked great but it’s too early to tell if the uv juice works.

I have no idea re. longetivity as we sold the car. Came up well with a bit of elbow grease though. Probably best bit of the car when we sold it 😀😀😀😀

We might get shot of ours before they need doing again. Maybe there's some correlation. 🤪

I have people who do that sort of thing for me.
Earlier in the summer I did Ely>Switzerland on the Saturday and Switzerland>Ely on the Sunday. I can confirm that 570bhp meant keeping up with the traffic was not an issue, but did result in rather too many fuel stops than felt optimal. My usual principle on long journeys like that is that if the car needs to stop for fuel before I need to stop for a wee then it's too soon.
