  • The cage on my sram x0 11speed derailleur gave up mid ride, but left the rest of the derailleur intact, does anyone know why its so hard to find replacement inner cage/outer cage? or if im rubbish at google.

All i can find are ceramic speed etc, which are more expensive than replacing the entire derailleur

  • you can get the inner cage, i believe the outer is permanently attached to the derailleur and not replaceable. https://www.sram.com/globalassets/document-hierarchy/spare-parts/spare-parts-catalog/2021-sram-spare-parts-catalog.pdf there are pdfs on sram site with all the parts numbers.

  • The drive side cover(?) on a almost new gxp bottom bracket is making a noise like the plastic is catching the outer shell at some point when I rotate it with my fingers. It's a swishing noise.
Took the omniums off to find the noise.
I've had a Google to see if it's possible to get it off and clean but can't find anything.
    Has anyone had this?
    Thanks

  • What’s going on in this area? Is the plastic all screwed up?

  • Are there any rules about mixing titanium fittings with other materials? For example, is there any reason not to put a steel nut on a titanium bolt?

  • There have been some studies of titanium & stainless steel surgical implants which say it’s not really much of a problem.

  • central tube has become misaligned and been mashed during installation

  • In case any di2 experts are on this thread rather than the di2 thread - anyone know what's wrong with my rear mech? https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/197839/?offset=5400#comment16725197

  • Usual recommendation to put copper slip on titanium fixings to prevent galling.

  • I'd be very surprised if that cage couldn't be swapped, it's removable in every other SRAM derailleur I can think of.

  • Looks dead to me. Can you help it going up by hand?

  • No, there's no movement /power whatsoever. Does seem like almost certainly dead.

  • Longest of shots. The bolt/screw for my deore 6100 shifter fell out. It fixes the shifter to the clamp, had to bodge it with a cable the other day.

If anyone comes across something I could use in your shops/parts box of random crap, I'd appreciate it!

I think it's this that I need! Until then the cable tie fix is staying, I'll just carry extra..

  • I think it's just the shadows in the picture. I've got it in front of me and I can't see or feel anything. It looks uniform as I rotate it.

  • How does that effect the black plastic cover? Assuming you mean the connecting tube between the two cups and not the axle itself?

  • I replaced the calliper, got the shop to bleed it, just had a look at the pads and the same kinda oil impression can again be seen on the back of the left pad. What’s the odds off this new calliper also leaking from the left piston, or it being something else? Mega confused

  • Any tips for making this front guard sit a bit nicer?

  • Nice. Knew something was out there. Cheers.

  • hello there, i have a very simple question concerning disk brakes...

are magura louise brakes flipable? meaning, can i just switch right hand lever to left hand by flipping it?

(i am guessing i cannot cause i did it and now the lever feels spongy...but i dont remember if it was in need of a bleed before the switch)
    thx for the tips!

  • It’s not flip-flop but the mineral oil innards are easy to bleed if you do need to switch or shorten the very long supplied hose.

    Quote from Bikeradar review.

  • thx... of course its not flippable.... that would be too easy... now i must train myself to have reversed brakes on the cargo bike or spend more money to get a new magura hose or disassemble the other brake and get the correct lever for the left hand.....(already have the bleed kit)
fkin hell.... to think i could have a perfect left hand clarks brake for less money than the bleed kit,,, fuuuuukkk
    .
    thx anyway!

  • Borrow one and swap them for the cost of new olives and barbs

  • I've got a set of Louises in my parts drawer if you want them (iirc you're also in Switzerland?)
