On the subject of lights we've been wanting to replace our bedroom light for ages. It uses funny old halogen bulbs and as my OH has her WFH desk in there the lights are on all day.
Room is 3.3x3.6m, light is central, ceiling is only 2.4m, and they don't want a desk lamp. We aren't really too fussed about it being too bright as in the evenings we use side lamps if we're in there.
Inexpensive with kid century vibes and easy to find bulbs is the dream.
