I’ve still not quite mentally accepted that a heat pump dry cycle that takes 3 hours is more energy efficient than a 1:15h vented dry cycle.

My dishwasher gives me the same vibes. Oh the eco cycle is 4hrs and 15 minutes, that's fine.

A recent article on Which (based on tumble dryers but touched on other appliances too) had lots of the eco modes being shit. Energy use was only a bit lower and results were worse.
