  • For me:

    • Slow RD shift, no confidence in FD at all during effort, with lag after pressing buttons
    • Loud drivetrain (and I’m meticulous about keeping bikes clean)
    • Poor hood shape
    • Aerolink brakes…
      The good things:
Ease of setup, weight, easy to charge

I ended up stripping and selling after 6 months or so. Got a 9000 mechanical group and didn’t look back. Best bike has EPS, though this has its own issues too!
My job requires me to work on top level stuff frequently.. and although I am Campagnolo through and through, I think the best current for performance, value for money, set up, user friendliness (and so on) has to be 12s Ultegra

  • Likewise, thanks for the reply!
I liked the idea of it being completely without cables for ease of set-up, and figured that anything would shift faster than my previous mechanical set-ups that I've completely neglected for months.

I have 11 speed 105 on my winter bike and have to admit I struggle with the hood shape on that. I'm hoping etap is a bit like the 10 speed campag I used to have (although it might be annoying not to have the bulgy bit at the top to hold onto).
