Most european countries* really don't have many spare main battle tanks, and didn't have the vast stockpile of de-commissioned near junk that the Soviets bequeathed to Russia.
Also it is a good opportunity to clear out stuff, (like the US M113 'armoured' personnel carriers), that have been superceded by modern infantry anti-armour weapons.[*Greece has more main battle tanks than any other EU country?]

Ukrainians know a thing or two about etiquette - Crimea bridge is on fire, consider it a Putin’s birthday firework.

Russia says the issue is simply a fuel tanker on fire (accident).... Is it me or is part of the roadway off the bridge and tilted into the water?
-
• #3331
That's quite a length of road down but with no obvious missile damage. Amazing!

Train caught fire, bridge fell over in shock.
Russia now has just 1 rail connection and it's 34km from Ukraine lines.

Now being reported as a truck bomb.

It's just as symbolic as moskva going down if not more.
I hope they manage to fully tear this fucker down!

Russia says the issue is simply a fuel tanker on fire (accident)
Happens all the time. So regular an occurance that it's not considered newsworthy.

I hope they leave it like it is. Severely damaged but still more usable than any other route. Just enough to have people evacuate from Crimea and occupied territories, but always in fear of another vehicle bomb that it's effectively now useless for the majority of passage and a severely hampered choke point on supply lines.

There's a short clip on the sky news website with what looks like cctv of the explosion. Seems like something went off with quite a bang on or under the bridge...

Russia dropping bombs on civilians during rush hour this morning.
What a class act they are.

Putin calls the attack on the bridge "terrorism".
Invade a country and when they engage in warfare they are terrorists.
Yeah. Sure. Makes sense.

I wish we could just jump into the point of time when Putler finally blows his brains out in his bunker.

Time to drop the rest of the Kerch bridge, then.

A Muskovite.
Come on, Western leaders, do your bit - you're donating less to the Ukrainian war effort than Russia itself!
