Slowly getting there with my kitchen and bathroom.
My builder quoted 3 weeks for the job. He went on holiday halfway through week 2 for a week (must have been booked after agreeing the job). Today is the end of week 4, and they hope to be done Sunday. Been paying in stages. Means I've had another week not at home and the associated costs of that (albeit not too much but that is lucky).
Builder agreed room dimensions with me, got kitchen built to that, and it turned out too big so had to trim the room down before building it and swap a couple of units. So i now can't have a separate bathroom and utility. And it is also the reason the kitchen sink has a dogleg in it.
Also the 2 sockets for behind the hob wall and now going in the cabinets - apparently the walls (180 ish years old) are too shit. I'd rather them be in the wall than cut into my new cabinets (££££) but I didn't really challenge it at the time.
