I’ve been tempted but have bought Aerolite Lyndsey instead. Good to hear what it’s like.

I've never been able to get beyond its LLL-ness. Also curious to hear a review

Ha ha, I know what you mean. Hope what's inside counts!

they do a cask strength version too, but it is closer to £100, and I am not ready to drop a ton on a drink i havent tried.
Might grab a couple of the sample bottles and do a taste test.
The Christmas Cake and Cinnamon one sounds ghastly. I want to try it in a sadistic way...

i've had a bottle in the past which went down well and have a bottle of the cask strength in my cupboard which is pretty heavy going at 58.3%
must have been on offer when i bought it!i seem to have gone off peated whisky a bit lately though. maybe i'll get back into it a bit now the weather's started to turn

The Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire 10 year old is really good. Quite soft, not much of a finish but flavour is bang on for me. Slightly woody at first, then smoke, slight honey/sweetness too as per Lagavulin 16.
It's almost like a peatier/smokier version of Dalwhinnie Winters Gold.
You can tell its fairly 'young'. Very very easy to drink. Tastes way more expensive than £33.95. Definitely buy again.

I was a big fan when I tried that, great value

Saw some Japanese single malts in Paris. Too pricey for my blood, also too high for me to take a decent foto.

I missed our last whisky club because I had Covid (held quarterly at Water into Beer in Brockley, all welcome, just bring a bottle). So they took little drams of all the whiskies and dropped them off which is one of the nicest things anyone's ever done for me. It's blind but I have their tasting notes to go on, so far I've had 3 and got 1 correct.

Ha, that's a top effort from them. Glad your taste buds are still on point after covid as well.

That was very kind of them!

The one I got right was the Caperdonich. All TCP and bonfire smoke, Laphroaig vibes.

No love for Laphroaig? The 10 is £40 and this time of year you can find it nearer 30.

Yeah, love Laphroaig. Have had a few bottles so far this year.
I still can't believe Lag has doubled in price. You never know what you have until the well runs dry eh?
Anyone tried this? Have ordered a bottle to test
