  • Out of interest, what was wrong with etap?
(Serious question, I have an etap 11 spd groupset still in it's boxes and am wondering if I've made a booboo)

  • I've had etap for a while now (gen1) and I like it a lot. But I was used to mechanical red beforehand so maybe a little biased. It doesn't shift as nice as di2 dura ace, but good enough for me. FD makes a nice sound when shifting and the lack of cables, finetuning while in the saddle, batt life and low weight are in my eyes the features that come to mind if I had to sell it to you. Oh and WvA did many CX on it, so sort of bomb proof.

  • Thanks, definitely sounds like its worth a go for £20

  • Yer specialized is overpriced

  • For me:

    • Slow RD shift, no confidence in FD at all during effort, with lag after pressing buttons
    • Loud drivetrain (and I’m meticulous about keeping bikes clean)
    • Poor hood shape
    • Aerolink brakes…
      The good things:
Ease of setup, weight, easy to charge

I ended up stripping and selling after 6 months or so. Got a 9000 mechanical group and didn’t look back. Best bike has EPS, though this has its own issues too!
My job requires me to work on top level stuff frequently.. and although I am Campagnolo through and through, I think the best current for performance, value for money, set up, user friendliness (and so on) has to be 12s Ultegra

  • Repost, but keep it coming.

  • Oups ; )

    edit 2

  • A Dribble is about as far from HH as you can get.

  • Put the Drool back!

  • Can’t believe you’ve rubber stamped that one above…. Kinda embarrassing

  • It's the best of the page easily

  • You nearly had me there for a second….

  • did you get that movistar aeroad rim canyon on the auction website ?
it could easily feature on here

  • Ahaha. No, I didn’t. I promise….

In a hypothetical world where that sort of thing could hypothetically happen, I’d at least hypothetically make sure you didn’t find out about it.

  • there isn't a hint of sarcasm. rim team aeroads have nicely vintaged. with direct mount brakes? mmmm tasty

  • Oh i see. The aeroad is a future classic and I’ve said it before. New or old. But thought you were trolling me on canyon again (along with the general demise of the quality in this thread).

  • Not sure you’ve seen the evolution of that post. You may have been busy with your wax research.

Ribble Ultra is going to age well. They need to sell it frame only.

  • It’s not a ribbble.

  • It was that amazing black Systemsix (repost), then it was a Ribble and now it’s that up there. You need to catch up.

  • stealth edit

  • Im just seeing this
