I've booked myself in for a mega booster as a treat on my one day off this week as I care for someone who is at risk, although I can't imagine the cramped room full of 1600 odd people I was running around in this weekend was covid free, hopefully I don't get another dose of natural immunity before the vaxxed kind.

Are you chaps (chapesses?) getting 5G speed boosts below 65 and not carer/vulnerable?

Over 50’s should have been contacted a couple weeks back, me and wife were

(51) I’m tempted to maybe try turning up to the walk-in at Guys/St Thomas’s
in the next week or 2 if my surgery don’t text me.Had first jab there as well as at a surgery and local pharmacy later on as i was keen to get my immunity topped up and actively chased getting it asap (SE health authority area)
Surgery were texting me a few weeks after being jabbed elsewhere with the first 2. -

Family party at the weekend, plus train to/from.
All three of us have a sore throat and daughter has a mild sniffle, but no other symptoms. Daughter reports most of her class (Year 8) all have the same too.
LFT clear. Sent off our ONS PCR tests yesterday so I'll look forward to those coming back in a couple of days...

My daughter's been off school for a week with a nasty cough, she's picked up a chest infection but no covid.

You should be good to book in with local pharmacy if not contacted yet through the gov portal. Mrs-ru did before her useless gp got in gear.

There we go again...
Surprised COVID is 6th leading cause of death...but as this doesn't break it down more, maybe it's far removed from cause 5.

I just had a look on the Nhs website if I can book a booster but it's only for frontline workers and
people with compromised immune systems. I thought we would have enough doses by now and an established booster system, how do they imagine living with Covid if you can't get a vaccine like
for the flu? -

I’m booked in for tomorrow morning. I was proactive on the gov website and an hour later I received the text and email to say I should consider getting boosted.
Parents are feeling better as well - dad was a barely noticeable positive yesterday, apparently. Mum reckons she’s two days behind that. Pseudoscience, but I know what she’s getting at.

Not everyone needs the flu jab though. And if you’re not eligible, it’ll cost you. Perhaps we’ll get to that point with the covid booster?

Anyone else felt rough after their Moderna (now Spikevax) booster?
Had mine at 6 last night, started feeling funny (similar to previous jabs) about 2.5 hrs later. Thought OK no problem, I'll have an early night, be OK tomorrow, but woke up feeling proper rough this morning - headache, sore, fatigue etc.
Quite surprised I'm feeling this bad but googled it and anecdata suggests this might be more common with Moderna vs. Pfizer/Astrazeneca.

Had mine at midday on Sunday, my arm hurt like fuck and irritated my ulna nerve/carpal tunnel issues so I got very little sleep, felt a bit weird at the same time but could've just been lack of sleep, I was alright if knackered by morning after some ibuprofen. My sister-in-law came out in hives but I think that's pretty rare and gone now.

My numbers 4 and 5 were Moderna. Cleaned my clock.
Had Pfizer bivalent (number 6) on Monday morning - felt a bit tired and shit on the bike, commuting to work, but nothing too bad.

Still awaiting latest ONS test result. Sent it off last Monday (Sep 26th) so it has been 9 days so far. Got the vouchers though. Odd.
Mrs GB hasn't been called up for #4 yet. I'm a few years away...

And results. I got "The throat and nose swab taken on 26/09/2022 from the participant born on XX/YY/ZZZZ was not determined (test failure)." First one of those.
MiniGB got a straight negative though, and that covers the period she had her cough and runny nose.

Sore arm but nothing more than that for me. Soz.
Yep - got a text from Lambeth.
