£10k new
The days where £5k would get you the top of the range race hardtail - in any finish you liked - are not that far behind us. WTF happened?!

AXS is fantastic kit - once you go there it's impossible to go back.

Super nice bike? I’m going to be annoying and ask what’s the length/angle of the s-works stem? I’ve been looking for a 100mm one in 12 degrees for ages now.

As luck would have it £5k can still get you a top of the range race hardtail - any finish you like, as long as it's this finish..

It's a 90mm, +/- 12 degree stem. Think I got it at Certini from memory.

they have kind of introduced this cnc handle design which has been "borrowed" a lot since.
they are not cheap ( anymore ) and certainly less since nice wood prices have gone twofold, but if you have the means, they do good work.

Going to remove from here and switch to eBay/Pinkbike etc, but thanks for the comments and interest.
Regrettable but necessary sale of my S-Works Epic hardtail which I bought from new 2 years ago and has been an amazing bike for all sorts of off-road action, from long gravel/xc rides to bike park and trail rides, all of which it has taken in its stride and so it has proved to be a very capable bike for me. It is also ridiculously light - as you see it in the pics it only weighs a touch over 8.5kg.
The spec and geo is identical to the current 2022 model - details of that are in the link below, but it's a very high spec bike:
https://www.specialized.com/gb/en/s-works-epic-hardtail/p/199666?color=321560-199666
The changes (for the better, in my view) that I've made to the bike are:
Size is Large. I'm 6'1" and ride it as it's shown in the pics.
Condition is near perfect, with a few very minor superficial marks (mainly a bit of shoe rub on the driveside crank, and a couple of almost unnoticeable scuffs) but nothing that you wouldn't expect on a used MTB.
I've changed the XX1 chain in the last 6 months and just installed a new DUB BB so everything running perfectly. Very happy to provide more detailed pics of any part, and bike can be viewed in Epsom (or could potentially bring it into town on the weekends).
I'm a little unsure on price to be honest, and would much rather sell it on here/locally than with eBay or Cycle Exchange, so if you're serious then let's have a discussion. For context these are £10k new without the dropper, but I'm realistic and need to sell it so I'll throw a number of £5k out there..
Cheers
Adam
