Having been quite sceptical about Lampard, the past 4-5 games are making me think I might have got him wrong. Players seem to know what they’re supposed to be doing, even if it isn’t anything massively inspiring. Quite a lot of the team are his buys and he’s shipped out some of the (vey expensive) dead wood. Onana has plenty of promise and Gueye does the simple stuff so well, he’s a massive step up for our midfield. Not going to be challenging for much but 15th -9th mediocrity seems a possibility rather than a 38-game slugfest in the bottom 5 for most of the season. Probably be wrong about that now. 😱
