Have you still got this box? It’s be perfect for my blood bowl team.

Nice. I’ve been really tempted by the ones with the rainbow tint glass on them. Loved the colour.

It's gone actually, and also making me think I should promote my team from being wrapped in kitchen roll in a shoe box

I did put the leather strap with deployant clasp on.
I saw online that when using a deployant clasp that the straps are attached in the reverse of a buckle.
This allows the log to show the right way up to the wearer…
Edit: still haven’t stripped the black paint off!

Citizen coming out with some bangers recently

Totally agree. But.... you know the way some people say 'How much??? for a Seiko!?' when asking about a Grand Seiko? Ashamed to admit that I feel that way about Citizen. They will forever be associated with the likes of Sekonda, Pandora, Michael Kors and other brands that H Samuel sold in the shopping center I'd visit as a kid. Really struggle to separate Citizen 'The Citizen' references from the rest of the brand.
And like, as great as this is, the Imperial Eagle-esque eagle will always be off-putting to me, which is a real shame for various reasons:

Sadly citizens tend to be humongous in size as well. Or at least lacking models under 40mm.
-

'The Citizen' references are pretty normal. This one is 38.3mm. But yeah, their 'mainstream' watches are gargantuan.

I know what you mean. To me they make me think of big cheap chronographs with plastic looking bezels sold from Argos.

Nasa will allow their logo to be used on literally anything. Sad!

Why do people wear watches like this? Also what is this?

The NASA logo and branding is open source. you can put it on anything.
They request you send the design to there marketing team for approval first but do not require it to be done, they wont issue a cease and desist. The only thing you can not do is call it a collaboration with NASA, Xeric x NASA etc.
That's why the speedmaster relationship is so well regarded as its the only "official" watch used by NASA.

Advice needed - I have a number of Smiths watches including a W10 - I need to find somewhere to have them serviced that won't either destroy them or bankrupt me. I am based in Cambridge but in London regularly - any recommendations?

I did not know this, and I'm quite surprised, but it explains a lot.
Just had a Dishoom home kit for dinner - the lamb chops are outstanding!
Whiskey Sours to wash it all down.
