• That looks like a mighty fine dadbike - even if #26isdad.
    I'd recommend a flap on the top of the front mudguard to avoid soaking the bottom of the bag. I still haven't fitted one to mine, and it's been soaked thrice in a week..

  • This is functional bike wisdom. Alternatively a sheet of plastic fitted to the underside of the rack achieves the same spray protection

  • Yeah that's a good idea too!
    The extended guard would serve to protect my dynamo light from spray as well. As it is mounted below the rack.

    The other option is getting some VO mudguards - appearantly they are 25 cm(!!) longer than the bluemels currently fitted! Or a set of GB Stainless
