• Long-time reader but first time posting.

My partner and I are due to collect our first puppy (a flat-coated retriever) in early November and we’re beyond excited.

One thing I haven’t sorted is a chew resistant bed (or “pad”) for her crate - is there anything folk would recommend? Looking at reviews of “indestructible” beds, most seem to be made in the USA but sure that can’t be all that’s out there.

And of course pictures when pup arrives…

  • Don't bother. As a retreiver they will destroy whatever 'chew-resistant' claims there are if they want to.
Focus instead on making it a happy place for the pup, and they'll be fine.
    Highly rate this: https://www.petplanet.co.uk/p25900/vetbed_mat.aspx

Also if you want some puppy pads and bits and pieces just PM me and come pick them up.
Same goes for anyone else. We essentially had a ludicrously easy puppy time with Dora, so have used none of them.

Best idiot ever (alongside our other best idiot ever, and the one before that, and the parents' one)
