we're selling a leasehold flat that has a management company. The buyer is insisting we pay the service charge for the remainder of the year, we normally pay it over 10 months of the year. That feels really odd, why would we pay for 3 months of service charge for after we've sold the place?
You would think that any buyer with a mortgage offer from before the last week or so is in an unassailably strong position? Any replacement buyer would be paying 1-2% more on their mortgage.
