If you are, I would be willing to lend a very VR-capable gaming laptop to the project for a while. The advantage there would be that the software set-up and hardware pairing would all be done and the current user of the set-up would only have to place the base stations and do room set-up. Also the technical problems (there always are, because the whole hardware/software setup is more complex than a normal gaming platform) would be known. I know it works well with VR because I used it for that before building a gaming PC.
So if you can recruit others and source the VR hardware, that's there. Might want to actually make use of the VR Games thread I started for not drowning this thread with discussion of a niche interest.
