  • we're selling a leasehold flat that has a management company. The buyer is insisting we pay the service charge for the remainder of the year, we normally pay it over 10 months of the year. That feels really odd, why would we pay for 3 months of service charge for after we've sold the place?

  • I had overpaid as we had to pay 6 months at a time, and got the pro rata cash back from our buyers Solicitor.

Literally how is it your responsibility after you've moved.

  • there is a legal protection where that can't happen. Speak to your solicitor about it.

  • Tell them OK, but that the price has now gone up by the same amount.

  • buyer is insisting

Guess they don't really want to buy it.

Is it buyer or seller market currently?
