Most lime manufacturers/retailers I've contacted, have been pretty generous in sharing knowledge and answering my questions.
There are loads of options, breathaplasta was super easy to work with as a base coat though. Just mix water. Probably will need to put a top coat on though. Also, you will need a lot of water on walls. A scary amount.

dems glass blocks in the middle, but yeah, you can't see through them

Option b - better internal layout which will be something you experience all the time

Think nickel would look great, or white.

This Magri Williams bathroom was one of the references for ours, I really like the white tape. But will they age badly?

I'm with you in that I like white in principle but have an underlying gut feeling that they will look naff.

@senor_bear, but he's no longer on here.
Unpainted lime would need a chalk skim, I reckon, otherwise it's a bit rough.

towel rail
In case you haven't already thought about this...
If it's a family bathroom get the biggest towl rail you possibly can and have some sort of shelf above it.
I don't fully understand why, but I've never been anywhere with a towel rail big enough for a family.

White taps and fittings are nice.

I'm in camp no-white-fittings, sorry.

My feeling is coloured (black/white/etc) bathroom fittings will age quickly, however trendy they are now. That and black ones are impossible to keep clean with London water.

Also coming in for bathroom chat and input from you lot. I'm a month away from the tinyloftbog™ work beginning so I need to make some decisions. We're very limited in what we can do due to the space and with input from our builder the layout is largely set in stone. It's more the details now. Specifically the floor (@chrisbmx116 I'm waiting on Rubber Flooring Co samples) and also lighting which I think will have to be spot lights due to the ceiling height.
On the flooring I really can't decide. I got some Amtico Terazzo samples and they are absolute shite. Got some cork samples but I cannot reconcile the potential water x cork (or even wood) issue.
The walls will be some sort of unpainted plaster imitation which I think Coat or Lick do, either way it will be a pinky vibe, white "kit-kat" tiles from Claybrook, white sink and bog, large-ish simple mirror and brushed steels fittings.
Thoughts on the below

Surprisingly difficult to find a good one in my experience - lots of the colours are bolder than I'd imagined when you actually see samples. Would be interested to hear which ones you find as I've struggled?

@andyfallsoff yeah I can imagine. If it wasn't a bathroom I would opt for the plaster to remain unpainted but I can imagine it will look a right mess after a few months of splashes.

I’m buying white taps.
Let that make your decision. -

This is interesting. I'd not thought about a rubber floor before. You might not be able to answer these questions but:
1) how opaque is the rubber? I would have thought very but we have large black and white tiles in the bathroom and one flooring guy said they'd show through vinyl.
2) How does it feel underfoot?
3) Is it a slip hazard/worse than ceramic tiles? -

The best option for a plaster like finish is Bauwerk paint - which can also be used in bathrooms (I have it in mine currently). It’s actually really nice stuff to work with but there is a back.

This house (Fir house) was unfinished lime plaster on top of plasterboard. We’ll be using the same stuff but different colour

i have white vola in my kitchen and it's good, easy to maintain.
have red in the bathroom whose enamel is very poor quality and started wearing out quickly.
go figure.wouldn't go for vola now because it is now unfashionnably cliché :)

+1
Maintain the honesty of the materials
Option B for me too, breaks up what would be a solid brick wall.
