This is the problem with R4 and the Today programme in particular. They invite total wingnuts from shadowy so-called thinktanks with dubious funding arrangements on and allow them to spout their deranged theories unchallenged. Unless they're lefties. Then they get the full interruption/grilling/scoffing treatment. It's got so bad I stopped listening.

Even by his standards, Andrew Bridgen was deranged on R4 today - nothing the fault of the government, if we’d been fracking for 2 years we’d be laughing now, the pound is tanking because America has “energy”.
No challenge along the lines “well, you’ve had 12 years to make a difference and have just stayed that you can’t - time to fuck off and give someone else a chance”
