Or the best is when they say that they were warned not to sell on here and now they know why.

How dare all these crazy bike people agree this is way overpriced, huh
-

You will not get that sort of price for this build.. bike looks Ugly and bland in my opinion, only tasty part is the frame... sell parts individually and still wont get anywhere near that price... no style anymore

you said it yourself, you work in an office obv get paid too much and have fallen out of touch with the value of money and lost your style at the same time.. enjoy ur new job

Aha a wanderer returns. Welcome back. Not sure if we've met, but there were a lot of Keirin-related usernames back then.
I think TS is the Talisman of that pub -- he moved to Austraya a while back. To sort out your useneame, maybe hippy or Velocio can give you your old login back.

I give you £20 for the lights. If you splits

They're selling at £155 at Sigma Sports so add in some import duty and a goodwill payment, would £250 be a fair price?
-
• #64
My god nothing is cheap with you
-
• #65
They've been switched on and off a couple of times, so don't forget to factor in that labour cost

Perhaps a title change from
'For Sale - MASH SF Steel "Tracklocross" no-expense-spared build'
To
'For Sale - MASH SF Steel "SSCX" more-money-than-sense build'
may draw in your intended 'niche' audience

But why nearly 3k?
I mean most of the parts aren’t even that fancy or am I missing something? Are the hubs made out of solid gold?
-

"and yes....this bike has all the fixie point boxes ticked."
Ticking every single fixie box is a good reason to add a grand onto the asking price.

I'm bored and at work so I googled all the parts. I did not spend ages looking for the cheapest source of each thing. Without a chain or cables (because there's no details of what they are) I'm at £1577 for components. £950 for the frame plus import duties, lets say £20 for a half decent chain £33 for some nice Jagwire compressionless cables, brings us to £2580.
OP mentions "a couple of hundred" for wheelbuild labour. That seems like a shop that must have pretty big windows but that'd only bring us up to £2780.

Having to start a sales thread is also added labour
Well spotted Ted
