I can just imagine casing a jump and bb to chainstay junction just sliding out.

My brother just told me about one of his friends who somehow managed to have his QR open while climbing resulting in the rear wheel popping out when he stood up to climb a steep section. Similar feeling i imagine.
Anyways I feel confident that wouldn't happen here if I just make it properly

I wouldn’t worry overly anyway. The reason I’m looking at a removable rear triangle and not S&S’ in the main tubes is because;
“If something breaks behind the seat tube it is embarrassing, if something breaks in front of the seat tube it’s catastrophic”
Said someone at sometime. -

Awesome, soothing even! Love the workshop sounds. Very detailed video and inspiring too, makes me wanna quit my job and start fabricating stuff...

I've never thought about how your voice sounds before.
But you do have a good one for videos!
Keep these vids coming :)

very enjoyable Sunday morning viewing.
definitely makes me want to get back into making actual things rather than just drawing them in cad -

Thanks guys! Appreciate the kind words

I love the slow tv vibe, and thank you for not speeding up any sections. Watching you do the brazing is just therapeutic

So so cool !

Making the fixing bolt go through a hole in the ovalized tube would prevent accidental exits imagine - though you'd risk dropping/loosing the bolt during assembly.

Or a slotted hole in the tube with a bolt through a zit on the frame? No need to remove the bolt, just loosen it off a bit.

Subbed to the YouTube channel. :-)

really excellent

@MisterMikkel and @Chaley you guys realise that this is an imaginary issue you have created? It isn't actually going to come a part. If you think about how strong a stem to steerer connection is?? And then ad the fact that the tubes are ovalised. But gut feeling is that it is bullet proof

Thanks Ben. Very appreciated.
I already got more viewing on this video than the first one so its going in the right direction. But we are bit far away from viral still ;-)

I am working a lot on how to develop the channel. I am trying to be realistic and say maybe it's just fun for now and thats it.
But on the other hand if there is a way/chance I could actually monetize it and use it as a teaching and marketing platform, that would potentially give me the life I want. I am currently headed toward full time self employment, but if Youtube could provide income I could perhaps take on a little less commissioned work and more self initiated projects.I don't know. One of my ideas is to do a series of videos teaching my son how to ride a bicycle and have them work on youtube as instructional/motivational videos. I have a lot of experiences teaching my daugther I'd like to share and thought maybe there are fellow parents out there who'd be interested in my perspective. This could then also be used as a marketing platform for selling kids bikes :-)
Anyways, here is a little edit (without music) from yesterdays shred. 8kms of pure joy followed by two blissful hours fixing our cargo bike. Had to rewire the rear dynamo and change the BB.

I would suggest from observing the YouTube phenomenon and what gets views and clicks is that quantity trump's quality so yeah, I'd go ahead and make videos of everything you can think of if you would like it to become income.
-
• #6548
Not that they wouldn't be quality of course, I've enjoyed both videos so far

Please also consider narrating audio books

100% but over engineering shit is where the money is ;) Besides the tube would bind before coming free anyway. Unless you forgot to bolt the top in place, then you’ve got bigger problems.
But see my previous post. It’s only going to be your arse that hits the floor anyway.
Oh and keep the utubes coming, that was lovely with a cup of coffee.
That looks trick as hell. (100 likes)
