Going to scrabble around the
shed floormeticulously tidy toolstation for a 1/2” to try now. -

I gave up on my imperial spanners one day and threw them into the skip at the tip in a metal toolbox. I still hate myself for that.

Why. Why would you… just… w-…

I have a lot of very nice tools and these cheap imperial ones had not been used for 25+years. I had to make space and despite having gone through years of selling things on ebay I just couldn't face advertising them etc.
It does make me feel a bit sick when I think about it.
I also moved away from metal toolboxes (I used to find them in the street and take them home) because they tend to damage things around them and add weight. I use a lot more plastic and fabric toolbags these days.

HM is Honda Motors?
Nice find, not jealous at all. Yes HM is Honda Motor Co, this is from a 1963 promo poster in my bathroom 🤓

I got rid of a load (a big load) of tools to my mates girlfriend as my mate didn’t like her being near his tools! He’s an Audi mechanic. Nuff said 😂😂

Is it something you’d want to own?
I have the awful plastic pouch like oem tools always come in, plus (as above) what I assume is the original spark plug socket. So I guess it is as original as cab be.
Although it has found itself attached to the DR, I could be somewhat easily persuaded to sell.

That's kind, but you enjoy the multi-tool. Great find though.

Found it. No wonder it suits the DR…

It’s still running and the same issues are there. But otherwise it has served me well.
I’ve stripped the carb and changed the battery but pretty reliable otherwise.

Let no man say, that I don’t clean my bike.
(I went to town with the Bikerpics guy and passed a dozen times. Hopefully there are some good shots of it.)

Happy days. Still not sure why but pleased I managed to sit on my hands there. I look forward to the spring search :)

A friend had his disassemble itself down the road, so I’m gifting it to him. If he bails will pop it back up.

Very decent of you. I will have to try and avoid buying it for a second time!

Great to hear its still going!
Loved that bike. Such a good size for round London. Happy to sit at 50mph, and with a bit of effort you could do 65mph, albeit a bit less comfortably.

The "racebike startup sounds" vid posted a couple of pages back, had me happily skipping down YT, until I stumbled on this and curled-up in a ball behind the sofa: this is what the four horsemen of the apocalypse should be riding.
Fair play to the absolute geezer at 3:45 who has it sideways; best clip is at the end.

Helpfully, to save you searching for it, here's a CBX V12 "how to"

I visited my uncle in Australia in 2015 and we went to a mate of his garage where he had a Suzuki B King on the stand. I wonder if the engine was from one of those.

Needs more cylinders

I almost wondered if half that engine was a reflection / optical illusion!

3K will get you a lot of bike if you look around. Two strokes will get you more power for displacement as well.
RS125
DT125
MZ TS125Grom
Fantic
XLSo much choice. I would personally avoid the cheaper Chinese brands selling bikes that appeal for their appearance rather than performance.

Can’t run a 125cc 2T on a CBT. It’s not about displacement it’s about power output in kW and hp.
Yes, it took me a while to work that out in my youth. I had a favourite 1/2 inch I could tap onto a damaged 13mm. Probably the 13mm was damaged from using a 1/2 inch socket though!
