  • Seeing photos of the queues at the finnish border made me think; what if everyone/finland lifted some of the visa sanctions to allow russians who would otherwise face conscription to leave the country?

  • Might be better in the long run if the people had to stay and do something about their shitty government rather than run away from the problem though.

  • Seeing Russians that have been comfortably living abroad for decades, yet march with soviet flags to support Russia and abuse Ukrainian refugees i'd think otherwise - close all the borders and force them face their own shitty government and their own shitty decision to do nothing about it.

There are around 3.5M people Russian speakers in Germany and around 2M of ethnic Russians. I haven't seen big anti war protests there but i've seen parades to support Russia.

  • Heck no, There are 5 million or so finns. On the other side of the border there are just as many ruzzians in Leningrad. They start freely wondering over we are done. We already have a russian speaking minority since in the 90s our president Koivisto wanted to support the russians with finnish heritage. In my youth there were never this many russians in Finland. We want to keep our own culture and not be invaded to save the russians.
