And if I'm being really picky a dot on the graphic on the front wheel was factory applied incorrectly. I don't think this can be moved or graphics removed easily

It bugged me at time and PTSD is getting triggered looking at that photo just when i thought i was over it

I noticed the angle of the main pics make it look like there's no seat tube tyre clearance but there is plenty of room for 25's but no bigger
And some rim tech specs and aero waffle 👇

I spent a bit of time this morning buffing out the little scuff on the tt. Looking in top shape now 👍 i might have a go at the chip on the handlebar later

A little price drop to tempt anyone looking for a rim brake aero bike with 11 gears? Guaranteed to shave seconds off your cafe ride as long as the cafe isn't at the top of a massive hill

Would snap it up if slightly bigger. Why are all the bargains M :(

Lovely build as usual, perfect regents park lapper. If i had space and funds for a dedicated fast hour bike that would be of interest
-
• #12
Thanks its a great bike for its intended purpose but seems excessive to keep or buy as a dedicated fast hour bike unless those fast hours are races and fairly frequent unless your Strava obsessed. I've got my Zero disc as my daily and my Master x-light is meant 🤞🤞 to be arriving next month so this will just spend a lot of time hanging on a wall so time to at least try and sell it.

Another day another drop to £1250
I'm getting pretty close to what i can let this go for now considering i spent more than the asking price on new wheels and tyres last summer -

Well it is a right bargain, that's for sure. I bet the timing is a bit inlucky since I cannot imagine many people getting such a nice bike for the winter. Although it is the time that such bargains should be realed in. So please someone grab it while it's there!

Cheers its hardly an ideal winter bike for sure so if it doesn't go I'll hang it back on the wall as i won't be riding it through winter and try again in the spring when people are hopefully feeling all racey again. With this the Looks, the Talbot on here at the moment and the Aethos that was up a couple of weeks ago you can get a lot for your money. A couple of grand buys you something distinctly average new nowadays

The Aethos has sold my mate bought it.

Last drop £1200
I realise this is not a good time of year to be selling a bike like this so i'll leave it up for a couple of weeks before removing and may try again in the spring.
Remember that few months in 2018 when 1x aero bikes were briefly a thing before most people realised they ride like planks and they'd like more gears for their road riding? Well i jumped right on that bandwagon and built this aero weapon but with a new bike incoming means this is going to get ridden even less so may as well move it on. It looks, sounds, feels and rides fast. The way it whooshes is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. I know a 1x rim brake aero bike isn't for everybody but you won't find faster for the money. I'm offering up the full build here for less than i paid for the frame on sale from Merlin when they were clearing them out after the disc version was released.
This build cost me £3500-£3600
Frame and forks : Nitrogen (not pro) still only 960g frame in a medium 55cm. Flippable +/- 20 mm seatpost head for tri setups, uncut steerer and all the spares. Front mech hanger, spare rear mech hanger, Di2 bits and headset/headtube spares
Wheels : Venn var 77 filament wound tubeless rims on Bitex hubs with Cxrays by DCR wheels. 77 deep 21 internal 29/30mm external with 25mm Pro one tle tanwall. Built just last year costing £1200 and haven't been used much as they're not really everyday wheels. Very stable fast wheels way better handling than my 808fc and a little lighter. At 30mm wide the chainstay clearance is pretty tight
Bars and stem : 90mm 3t arx team and 44cm carbon aeronova team (genuine) These bars have a long reach which is why I'm running a slightly shorter stem. These are not sprinters bars as wrist clearance from the inside edge of the flat tops is poor so you can't be on the drops and out of the saddle at the same time but they're aero and are scooped for a very easy on the wrists hoods position and look nice on this.
Saddle : fizik arione cx braided carbon
Shifting : Sram Force 1x shifter and rear mech
Brakes : everyone's favourite fiddle free trp integrated aero brakes 😉
Cassette and chain : Sram pg1170 11-36 + Kmc sl 11 gold
Crankset : Black 105 5700 compact 170mm with Absolute Black 50t oval ring (power meter not included) i can leave the S-works carbon cage on but no pedals
Serviced last week for this sale all in excellent condition the only marks is a light scuff in the lacquer on the tt where it rolled forward whilst leant against a wooden table(now sorted) . You could probably buff it out completely but it hasn't bothered me enough to try as you can only notice it in certain lights. The other mark is one chip in the lacquer on one inside edge of the bars aero section where i fitted a light that there wasn't really enough room for but apart from the that it looks pretty much like a new bike.
Inspection and test rides available in Brighton. Can post uk and potentially split if i get buyers for the frameset and wheels first.
Its in solid 9/10 condition throughout I'm asking £1500
