Could also be one of the cheaper models. Senda maybe. They come in 50cc and 125cc I think.
Ultimately they're owned by Piaggio, so a not Chinese junk bike, but possibly not as reliable as a Honda.
The one thing I would say is that UK guides and parts are harder to obtain, so for that reason a common Japanese bike is always going to be the practical choice. But I think a similar thing would apply to that little Duke hooligan bike.

Maybe I’m wrong on the Derbi, then. I was sure that someone had theirs shit out the clutch, and another kept coming back because of junk parts. But there are so few of them around Swindon tha maybe these were the only two Friday bikes out the factory, or poorly maintained.
