Would routing the cable inside the seat post with an exit on top of it between the rails and light mount on the back of the saddle be an option?

I’m new to dyno but this seems like a mistake??
Unless I’m missing something… -

Through the holes at the dropout.

FFS… really?
This seems like a less than ideal solution.
I’ve so many questions haha -
• #106
It’s arrived!! I’m slightly surprised.
I really like the colour.

Up through top of seatpost and mount under saddle - you presumably aren't sullying this build with a saddlebag....
EDIT already suggested but yes, routing out of the rear triangle mounting holes seems nuts

Current seatpost is Carbon with no exit point.

A 3d printed hose job could be a neat-ish soultion to hide the wire
-

Oooft. That actually looks spot on. Can you link me to the Singapore company making them? I can’t find it, but it looked like they could supply whole headsets in the old colours. I might see if they can do me just a bearing cover for a dropset 3.

I’m still trying to find the spacers, any leads welcome!!

• #113
Might be worth contacting the manufacturer.

• #114
Ah. I'd probably shrink wrap to rear hydro hose and mount at the dropout

Wheels are currently being built, will hopefully be done this week!
Dyno cabling will reach with no extra cable.
Question is where best to put the join (between front and rear) it needs to be somewhere near to the BB.Think I’m going to opt for WTB resolutes, 700 42, tan wall.
-
• #116
Why would you have a join near the BB and not just right at the light, front or rear?
-
• #117
Well it’s got to go quite a long way and there is quite an amount of cable….
One join seems better than 2 or 3? -
• #119
I could…just somewhat irritates that it has internal cough routing not to be used.
Plus the RCC Silca with the suitable pink stripe is $$$$
-
• #120
Unless you know someone who can get it half price...
So the front light has the wires already connected but only long enough to reach the BB?
-
• #121
No one should ever take my advice when it comes to bikes
-
• #122
Yeah it has an out cable that’s pretty long. The rear also has a pretty long cable.

Rear Mech, Cassette (ouch!!), tyres all on their way.
Trying to decide on connectors for dynamo, standard ones or to go to something a little more fancy. Is a rubber washer a god idea to prevent paint from cracking on fork mount for the dynamo?
Small list of needs if anyone can help,
Small nut M4? And 20mm I’d guess and bolt to fit rear dyno light to holder ideally local (SE4) -

One tyre… I’d say done but realistically started

Last parts have arrived!!

Via the chain stay? Edit: Solid drop outs, so no. Interesting.
