Any good guides to sorting out Brompton gears (2011 model if that makes a difference). Middle gear feels OK, high gear skips a bit, low gear doesn't always go into it. I've been pissing about with the indicator chain so that is probably the problem but there are so many guides out there for similar models that I'm not sure which to follow.

Is the telescopic post any more compact when folded than an extended one?

Yes sir. The extended sticks out 6cm, the telescopic goes like 1/2cm more than standard.
