Yeah but it's £20 to just turn up tomorrow without a ticket
-
• #12804
You're not going to see much play tomorrow.
And it's still free to get in today even if you turn up without a ticket, see the link above.

• #12805
Ah yeah, nice.
-
• #12806
No, there won’t be much cricket but I’ve got the day off, it’s a 20 minutes ride away, it’s free so why not?
-
• #12807
Well, this has to have been one of the more extraordinary summers of test match cricket.
-
• #12808
So, who's there, in person?
-
• #12809
Not Lees anymore.

4 draws? Under Bazball, we'll never see a draw again. Now, everyone gets stroppy when a Test goes 15 minutes into the third day...
-
• #12812
Those draws must have been under the late Root 1 victory in 17 Tests era.
Roll on the Test Series in Pakistan. -

in person
I was.
All very muted but enjoyable.

Anyone here a member at the oval?
When they say discounted international tickets, how much discount are we talking about?
-
• #12815
I used to be, but what with 3 kids, living in e10 and a wife who works 3 nights a week, I was paying around £150 for every game I actually got to watch
I can't remember if there was a discount or just priority booking. I had the county membership, so all matches except internationals

So certainly not large enough to be memorable then....

I rolled up at about 10.30, found a nice seat in the sun, got a text from a mate who was also there so we met up and watched 26 minutes of cricket, watched the presentations and were in the pub by 12.30. There was a bigger crowd than I’d expected tbh, not a bad way to spend a morning.

Long old day for the bowlers here, I think...
Especially, if they keep bowling like that.
-
• #12819
Are they bowling for batting practice? This is very ordinary.
-
• #12820
Eng bowlers just setting a challenging target for a new batting line up?
-
• #12821
and Moeen concedes the first 6!
-
• #12822
Rashid gets Babar with the straight one...
-
• #12823
Phew - Pakistan middle order batting to the form book...

Distant, mature neighbour has been at The Oval today,
watching Ollie Pope score another century.
So, how's about the England team decide the game's won and go on the lash tonight, get totally Freddie-ed and get turned over for about 25 runs tomorrow like how Ireland did the Windies in 1969?
