Will give you a quick run down when they arrive 😂.
Unfortunately, most of my running shoe issues come within 300km, so I'll be happy if they last beyond that.
Currently my Saucony Peregrine 12s are at 322km, and have started showing where my feet are going to burst through. They'll be lucky to make it 450km. -
So the Hoka One One Speedgoats arrived, and were very quickly packaged up and sent back.
I'm a UK 11, measured more or less bang on. I would need to size up at least once in Hoka, so a UK 12.
Unfortunately, the width was still far too tight, and this was the 'wide' model of the speedgoat, so I'm not even going to bother with the next size up, and instead get money back.I've settled on Nike Wildhorse 6. Mad looking trainer. They're an 8mm drop which is steeper than I'd like and they're not necessarily that wide fitting, but with 30% off ticketed price at a local Nike store, £55 was too good to pass up. So even if they do burst after 300km, it won't be too much of a loss.
My current Saucony Peregrine 12s are 330km in, only two months, bursting at the toes, and tread completely worn down, and they were £130, and lot less of shoe than what the peregrine 10s were.
Bring back the old Saucony xodus iso!
I've actually got the NB V6 hierro model as my everyday trainer. Very comfortable, but I imagine the upper would wear out quickly.
It's an 8mm drop which is quite steep, but may consider it an option.
I've opted for a wide fit hoka speedgoat 4.
I used to have a pair of speedgoat 2, but they burst on the inside where the upper meets the sole pretty quickly, so I'm hoping they're made of better stuff now, and that maybe the wider fit will help with that?
