  • Love the look of those custom forks…. Do you run mini Vs or regular? Very tempting…. edit: ah yeah I can see r353 miniVs in that photo

  • Yeah, mini v on both on mine. Mini V will work with the stock levers.

  • I've bent the rim jumping up/off kerbs :/
    Sent you a dm...

  • Just how I bent my seatpost! Wheelie drop Bristol temple meads bus stop!

  • Weekend away, up to Worcester to service 3 Bromptons.

Also got some new bits in transit; hinge kits, hinge service kit (reamer etc) and shifter springs!

Lots of pre sales already so get in touch; also if you need your bike sorted then make contact - Bristol / Exeter very easy, further a field I can make holiday campervan plans / postage is easy enough!

search Hobbs cycles or theBromptonman on Instagram/ Facebook!

  • Any good guides to sorting out Brompton gears (2011 model if that makes a difference). Middle gear feels OK, high gear skips a bit, low gear doesn't always go into it. I've been pissing about with the indicator chain so that is probably the problem but there are so many guides out there for similar models that I'm not sure which to follow.

  • Cheers, that's what I'd been playing with but hadn't got the bit about the 1mm protrusion through the little hole on the videos I'd watched. I'll give it another try.

  • beauty of the three speed, it’s either minor tension adjustment or it’s totally fucked!

  • Long shot - but any chance the fellah that passed through camberwell around 6:45 this morning on a Ti Brompton riding cleats is on here...

What was the roll top backpack with brompton mount that you were riding with!?

Edit: caught up on the last 30 pages - must have been one of the new brompton backpacks.

  • Anyone using a rear frame protector instead of helicopter tape?
Minimods Ti one looks quiet nice!
Worth a punt, or save my cash?

  • No doubt these will all fly out

  • Cheers. Now followed this and they work fine.

  • Is the telescopic post any more compact when folded than an extended one?

  • Yes sir. The extended sticks out 6cm, the telescopic goes like 1/2cm more than standard.

Will email you later about something!

  • MiniMODs one is v good, got some coming soon as my next order is in transit

  • Word on the street is they are pretty much sold; shops happy to take pre orders etc

  • Interesting...cheers.

    Will watch for your email.

  • Yeah seems the case from what I've found out today, though there are a few here and there not doing that. Also at least one selling above RRP

  • Friend got offered 5 from one shop; “saves me advertising it and getting a load of interest when they just sell immediately abroad”

  • Would've snapped that right up had I had that offer!

  • I try not to get caught up in it, prefer to deal with people who ride their bikes than collectors

  • Completely get that. A little bonus wouldn't go a miss though

  • How do these line up against Kojaks??
