Doing it virtually, up and down Orient Way, E10. My twins are away at Beavers, my daughter is having friends over for a sleepover (10th birthday) so I've been sent to Thurrock Travelodge for the night. There isn't even tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Ho ho ho.
I have to get the twins from their Beavers thing at midday too.
I haven't trained well due to heatwave, lack of interest, illness and injury, but I'll settle with under 4 hours of misery up and down the A road after a terrible night in a bad hotel.
Good luck Ed!

CNBA trying to train properly whilst looking after a 1 year-old so I'll be spectating this year. Looks like your training's gone very well and there's nothing like a preparatory PB or two to give you confidence in the big one, especially during the race itself when you're wondering if you can keep things going.
All the best, I'm sure you'll smash it.

I’m not running it but keen to see how it goes. Similar season for me, and new and very similar PB’s at 10k (36:30) and HM (1:20:37) so I’m curious how that translates to longer distance for you.
Got a 70.3 next month that I should be in good shape for, but I’ve also not actually done any triathlon specific training, and very few bike rides outdoors, so who knows quite how the legs will feel halfway into the run.
Anyone else “on here” doing the London marathon this year?
Training all in the bank now, feel like I’ve had a pretty decent campaign with pbs at 10k (36:40) and half marathon (1:20:57) both slightly short of the mark for my initial 2:50 target but pretty close and I’ve got plenty of volume in with 7 or 8, 60 mile weeks along the way, so I’ll see what happens on the day, but definitely planning on being conservative! Just 2 weeks to freshen up, hopefully for my feet to heal up a bit as the blister I got running the half hasn’t really properly healed yet…
