does it have to be mudguard mounted?

Most mudguards have a limited lifespan when supporting a headlight that contains reasonably-sized batteries.

Make a mount for one of these?

Thanks, all. Will keep considering and report back.
@Thrasher disc brakes, innit. and the mudguard mounting bolt on the fork (Columbus) is at the rear, so not forward facing...
@PhilDAS Supernova is one brand that looks promising, thanks.
@timmah! Unfortunately my current job does not come with a bike friendly machine tooling and fab workshop in the basement....
@LWaB Mudguards are pretty solid all (Radial) with a short reach forward from the fork, so it is quite rigid.

ah is this on the isen? maybe you could use the isen mudguard light mount? and mount a Supernova Airstream to it?

ah yes indeed, on my Isen (which lives in FR-CH these days).
Didn't realise Matt et al offered a mudguard light mount. will check this out (@coldharbour....).
thanks!
I am struggling to find what I want - which is a battery powered LED front light which can be mudguard mounted.
20-40 lux ideally, mostly 'to be seen by' but also 'some help on unlit bike paths this winter'. I'd prefer rechargeable Li-ion but AAA batteries would be OK.
Just like the picture! I can find examples a plenty for e-bikes or dynamo powered...but not battery. Spanninga, Busch & Müller, etc - no luck.
Any of you got a suggestion?
