Some amazon special, £50 for everything, mainly chosen cos the compressor is small and it has a moisture trap. Does the job.

was stumbling around etsy and found this paint station (and a taller version with more capacity)
£56 seems like a very decent price for the set but can buy pieces individually as well quite cheaply.
i've been thinking about doing something different with my peg board at the back of my workbench as it seems to eat up a lot of space as I can't wall mount it so it sits on a monitor stand (the holes are vesa space) with some freestanding shelf brackets to stabilise the ends over the workbench area and doesn't hold a massive amount of stuff.
am tempted to see what i could come up with using something like this instead.

Very nice! No chance of me ever getting a space like that.............

Been doing a spot of batch zenithal priming... about 100 minis from the Lord of the Rings: journeys in middle earth game (plus 2 big box expansions and 2 mini figure add-ons).
hit them with a black all over prime yesterday, then a mix of grey/black vallejo primer for second coat this morning and will do a top down highlight with pure white after work. vallejo primer needs 24-48 to fully cure so can start painting properly after work on weds.
the heroes along the front have already been fully zenithal'd, it's amazing how good they look with just 3 coats of primer. there's definitely a couple of games where i'm tempted to zenithal then hit with just a glaze and some wash and call it a day.

I used to play Warhammer a long time ago, was never very good at painting and mostly enjoyed playing games. Having found out a friend started back up recently I decided to do the same so we can play occasionally.
There is so much more to help with painting these days. Endless YouTube videos with practical advice means whilst they're not perfect by any means, what I have done is loads better than I ever did before.Photos are half way through blending the lightning claws and finished on the tabletop (plenty more work for the rest of the models, I was impatient to try the blending black to blue
to white).

Got these wolves from eBay, they have some fairly questionable colour choices...

Don't have pics but the stripy one had a dark wash (nuln oil if it matters) and grey/white highlights as a bit of an experiment and it breaks up the colours and looks ok. Red one had a brown wash and already looks much better.
Blue one is grey and a bluey grey to break up the single block of colour, don't think there is enough difference in the colours really but it looks much better than it did and the original blue is only there in little areas and sort of works I think.
All good practice for me trying out blending and working on painting. -

sorastros guides are
a) excellent
and
b) might have some tips you can steal for those sculpts. -

I recently painted the new Dante model for a friend. Had a look on ebay and they're going for like £150 but it's probably because they're still really hard to get hold of. Might try painting a couple and selling them if the prices stay high.

Blue wolf is finished, still hints of blue but looking much better. Quite pleased with the blending on the head.

Thanks, those vids look good. Slow enough to follow what they are doing and relatively straightforward and accessible to a newbie without loads of equipment.

Red wolf looking much better. Despite pinky red definitely being a rubbish colour to choose for a base to start from this was a good learning opportunity and I'm pretty happy with how the fur is looking. I won't be doing any more in this colour scheme and more work needed on anything that's not fur but it'll stand out on the tabletop at least!

I don't feel this got enough recognition on this thread, love it - especially the lightning on the axe.

Thanks. I tried a non metallic version on a test model but couldn't get it as good as I wanted, my glazing isn't good enough. So went for a true metallic with highlights

Excellent! Need a video when it's finished please. What motors are you using?

Heh. I did an earlier test on my insta posted here...

The motor etc is in a pre built block that came with another lego kit.
I think I need to change the gearing!?
