Actually, what will be done with all these useless books afterwards?
I wondered that when I was in Caen town hall earlier this week where they have a book. Do they send it to the UK? Some interesting comments in that one referring to her as 'our duke'.
William I is buried next door. Or at least his thigh bone is, the rest was scattered some hundreds of years ago. His funeral sounds great. Corpse wouldn't fit in the sarcophagus, “the swollen bowels burst, and an intolerable stench assailed the nostrils of the by-standers and the whole crowd”.

People just want to feel part of it, tell their friends they signed the book they imagine their King will read. Actually, what will be done with all these useless books afterwards?
