I've got a 12 year old Columbus minimal on my road bike. It's been ridden pretty regularly, never commuted on it but certainly smashed around through plenty of shit roads, gravel, and the turbo.
I've recently thought about replacing it. I'd like to get another ten years out of this bike at least, it's got a newish group and decent wheels that will last a while.
There doesn't seem to be much consensus on carbon forks. There's a spectrum from 'replace regularly' to 'provided its not damaged, it'll last indefinitely'.
Any insight? It's a straight 1 1/8 steerer, rim brake on a ti frame. The frame hasn't cracked yet so I think it will be good for a while.
I know this is a bit bikeradar but I don't wear a watch.
