There was a prof on the radio who’s been polling the people in the queue. Majority Remainers. Was also saying they aren’t all insane right wingers.

No doubt that it's a cross section of people, covering all political standpoints as well as multiple nationalities. I'm of the opinion that individuals should grieve how they see fit, but I just can't comprehend the dedication applied to this self serving activity. When could we ever recreate this energy of the public to put it to good use? The psychology of the queue people is fascinating.

All this energy and effort. I keep thinking that there must be a great number of these people who couldn't be arsed to vote or consider for ten minutes what they were voting for during the EU referendum or elections, when they could have prevented change that has had a far more damaging effect than the Queen's death ever will.
