All this energy and effort. I keep thinking that there must be a great number of these people who couldn't be arsed to vote or consider for ten minutes what they were voting for during the EU referendum or elections, when they could have prevented change that has had a far more damaging effect than the Queen's death ever will.

I've been in buck house to do some work. It was in The Grand Ballroom with its 4m high ceiling and massive chandeliers. While that is very impressive, behind the scenes it is quite shabby. Like a hospital or some government institution from the 60s or 70s.

But the sheeple of the queue don't need to think. The decisions are made for them.

Could they not have stuck the coffin with a flag over it on a carnival float with a few vigil-ers (vigilantes?) and driven around London's famous London?. Then everyone who wants to see her could line the streets and genuflect/bow/scrape/cry/gnash their teeth or whatever else they want to do as she goes past, but it could all be done in a day

They are doing that on Monday. Westminster Abbey to Windsor by road, avoiding the motorway so people can line the route. 20 odd miles.

He's a corporate lawyer who owns a machine learning company in the US and has a problen with a neural network...its not as if he can do much to solve the problem himself other than coordinate from his phone.

Regardless, you are correct. I'm pretty sure he'd have more valuable uses for his time than standing in a queue for 12+ hours.

No doubt that it's a cross section of people, covering all political standpoints as well as multiple nationalities. I'm of the opinion that individuals should grieve how they see fit, but I just can't comprehend the dedication applied to this self serving activity. When could we ever recreate this energy of the public to put it to good use? The psychology of the queue people is fascinating.

We should have gone full bread and circuses, and turned The Queue™ into a Battle Royale, with the grand prize being the chance to lie in state with queenie, and accompany her on her final journey to defeat the boss in Valhalla. Or something.
