Can we have some examples of a "perfect" BDHU set up? I'll be building a new bike soon and I'm not sure I can stand the shame of ending up in here.

This is obviously wrong in the eyes of a BDHU connoisseur. Yet there was a part of me that felt uncertain when he casually says that he like his bars like that and can lean into them. And with the very long stem etc reach doesn't seem to be an issue.

Yeah I'd say BD but that might then need a bit of HU? I'm not brave enough to say it with any sort of authority though.

What bar tape combo is that? Thats thiner tape over the top, right? Whats the thin black stuff called? My google search terms have failed to find stuff with those wee holes.

Think it's just Cinelli kaleido, possibly.

At the risk of outing my self as a squash player, I use really thin and tacky over tape that goes over the main thicker grip. It helps keep that super tacky feeling for longer.

I’ve wondered about something similar for bikes, I like the tacky feeling of lizard skins etc, but it’s optimal tackyness doesn’t seem to last very long!

Small bdhu, forget about being parallel with the TT or flat transition.

On the tacky bartape front I used to love cinelli volee, but it's just black or rowdy graphics. Fizik does something decent too, forgot the name.

I'm sorry - he wraps the bar tape top to bottom then cuts it at the lever and starts again from the ends to the lever bottom to top. WTF is this shit?!
