I went for a little pootle yesterday down the Thames estuary towards the Medway to test this bike out; it was great for the mixed terrain, also lots of history in the area which is always of interest to me.

@Hulsroy I want to say its something like 42x18 so with 37c tyres it comes out to around 63gi. Seemed nice offroad on some of the muddier patches and it isnt too draining for longer climbs
@vpCogworks Thanks, I'm trying to patch toget a ride around there, I'd like to include the old Soviet Submarine thats on the river Medway next.
@JanWillem I am flattered, thank you

Quick update:
1.) I have been hellishly with life E.g. moving home, so very little action bike front.
2.) That being said, here's a quick bike update (with shit photos.):
i. Built this for my Mother.
ii. I got my father some mega high rise bars, to help with arthritis in hands/wrists, and a Crane bell to get people's attention.
3.) More to follow soon(ish)

The Ritchey ones do look very nice!

Ritchey cranks look great, just need a polish.
Nobody deserves Clarks brake pads, treat yerself to some koolstop or swissstop, please. -

they're painted silver so polishing isnt worth it, you'd loose the logos. I will give them a clean though.

Clarkes was the cheapest way to get the cartidge pads, as soon as the pads are dead i'll either get salmons or the triple compounds, I didnt see the point on spending extra to get branded bits of alu when the comsumable part is what counts.

Didn't realise they were painted.
What frame are these shiny bits going to be attached to, or is it a secret? -
• #398
All will be revealed soon, it's a classic

Ritchey cranks turned out to be 130BCD so forced my choice to be the Shimanos

Shimano FTW!
Do you have a good link for these crank bolts? (Assuming the dust cap/ring is aluminum)
They're 37c I think but come up quite big. Clearance on the fork is great, and I've done my best in the dropouts but it's not huge, I've position the tyre so the majority of the knobs are in the crimped stays but that means less room for the sidewalls
